Chip is the founder of Black & Associates, LLC, a firm specializing in financial and estate planning. He has over 45 years’ experience in the financial services industry, assisting companies and families with financial planning and investment strategies. He is an investment advisor and Registered Principal with LPL Financial, an independent broker dealer. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he holds multiple professional designations.

Chip was a founding member of the board of the Community Foundation of Burke County in 2000. He served a total of 24 years on the board of directors, including two terms as board chair. Since 2011, Chip has served on the Investment Committee and is a past chairman.
